PT Central Charcoal Babelindo (PT CCB) is again exporting dried leaves such as ketapang leaves, dadap leaves, mangosteen leaves, and others. This time the destination for the dried leaf export is the United Kingdom as many as 5,000 packages of dried leaves.
Pangkalpinang Customs gave appreciation to the company as the Most Innovative MSME in the Customs Award held in March 2024.
This is not the first export carried out by PT CCB. Since September 2022 to November 2024, they have exported 11 times to Japan, the United States, Germany, Turkey, and Singapore.
Head of Internal Compliance and Guidance Section of Pangkalpinang Customs, Syarifudin said, Customs is very happy to serve MSMEs who want to consult through the outreach export clinic. PT CCB is one of the MSMEs that has successfully exported.
“Because of this success, we often invite PT CCB to share success stories at trainings that we hold, such as UMKM Week in June and Export Training at RRI Sungai Liat in early November. We hope that other UMKM will also succeed in selling their products in the export market,” said Syarifudin, Thursday (7/11/2024).
Meanwhile, Director of PT. CCB Lukman Nuhung, said that his party plans to export dried leaves again in December with the destination country being the United States. This cannot be separated from good coordination and support between agencies such as the Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center, the Bangka Belitung Cooperative and SME Service, the Pangkalpinang Post Office and all agencies involved in the export of these dried leaf products.
“God willing, in December. We are currently preparing the products and packaging. Dry leaves such as ketapang leaves have benefits as natural regulators of the pH of water in aquariums. Our goal for the future is to become a supplier of dried leaves to 10 world companies,” said Lukman.
